Andrea Whittaker, LCSW, PMH-C

Andrea is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). She specializes in perinatal mental health, infertility, transitioning into parenthood, anxiety, and overall life transitions. Her biggest strengths are her empathy and compassion for others, and meeting client’s
where they are at. She is a genuinely curious person and seeks out education and training on a consistent basis to continue to grow and learn in this ever changing field of mental health. Clients would say she is personable, down to earth, and nonjudgmental. You can expect a space to be yourself, have room for
rawness, humor, and maybe some tears.

Andrea holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Georgia (UGA) and a master of social work (MSW) from UGA. She earned her LCSW in 2018 and obtained her PMH-C in 2023. She also has extensive experience in the child welfare industry, working with victims of domestic violence, and individuals who struggle with substance use disorders.

When Andrea became a mom for the second time in 2020, she experienced a traumatic birth, which eventually catapulted her into her passion for perinatal mental health. She is a strong advocate for perinatal mental health, infertility awareness, and seeking help overall during difficult life transitions. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 young kiddos, and pup. Traveling, being outdoors, baking, and doing crafts (with her kids) are some of her favorite ways to engage in self-care.
