This class is designed for moms of any stage of pregnancy. Beginners to yoga are welcome to come.
Checking in each week with one another and building a sense of community is one of our strong hopes for this class so you may go into motherhood with friends who are also in your same life stage.
This class will be preceded by Mama-Baby Yoga, so please feel free to come early and witness the beauties of motherhood, on frequent Saturdays women from the first class will be encouraged to share their birth stories and postpartum journeys with the mamas who are still pregnant. Once you have your baby we would love for you to return to become a part of our Mama-Baby Yoga experience as well.
If you've not signed our Liability Waiver before, please do so before you come.
Julia Maher completed her 200RYT, apprenticeship, and R-PYT from Lucky Cat Yoga in Tampa, Florida. During her travels she taught abroad at the Shoklo Malaria Research Unit in Mae Sot, Tak, Thailand. In Singapore and Bali she studied yoga and learned about cultural similarities and how yoga can bring world peace. With Udaya Yoga she was a yoga model at NuBoyana Filming Studios in Sofia, Bulgaria. She teaches an all levels Vinyasa Flow style yoga class with experience leading athletes specifically ballerinas, runners, and rowers, pre and postnatal moms and babies, kids, toddlers, teenagers, and college students.
Yoga helped her upper back trauma, calm anxiety, and is helping her grow her roots to gain greater self-acceptance. It also brought her daughter and herself closer together inside and outside of the womb. Yoga is the physical, spiritual, and mental body growing together. Yoga is not a religion but a spiritual journey.
“ I heard once that Thanks is the hardest emotion to express. Yoga means thanking my spirit for being there and being so alive. I thank my spirit for the person I can grow to be every time I step off the mat. Each day I feel different before I begin my meditation and each day I grow in a positive direction after. Yoga lets me become open in a way that I can welcome in every sight, smell, and thought. I can control what needs to be let go and I let go. Yoga is emotional for me and I thank it for that."
