reBlossom is a mama-baby retail shop located at 2041 W. Broad St.
reBlossom opened on December 1st, 2010 and was started by Monira Silk, Page McCormick and Naomi Al-Haroun.

reBlossom’s mission is to provide gently used apparel and gear, equipment rentals and photography for families, pregnant women, mamas, and babies, with a low impact on the environment and your budget.

Owner Bio
Monira Silk:
Last year, when I was embarking on a journey I now know as motherhood, I decided to quit my job. It was a teaching career that I loved, but knew I couldn’t balance full-time (plus) with a baby on the way. I wanted to stay connected with my community in an environment where I could continue learning. That’s how reBlossom came to be. To combat the “baby blues,” I knew I needed to interact with others and use my creativity. I found a wonderful resource in Full Bloom Pregnancy and Early Parenting Center and began a friendship with Pat Nielsen. During a conversation with my mother, Naomi Al-Haroun, we envisioned reBlossom. It would be a place where pregnant women and mothers could share their experiences and find things that might make their lives easier. Before starting reBlossom, I was an ESOL teacher at Chase Street Elementary, and prior to that, a photojournalist in Athens, Atlanta, and Metro DC. I earned both a Bachelor’s in Magazines/Photojournalism and a Master’s of Education in TESOL from UGA, which is where I met my dear friend, co-teacher and business partner, Page McCormick. I am married to Danny Silk, the love of my life, and we have a wonderful, energetic daughter, Miriam. I love yoga, walking, my family’s enjoyable company, and when I have time (which is not too often!), reading.

The Creative Geniuses Behind Some of Our Great Products
Molly Barth:
I make superhero capes out of a mix of recycled and new fabrics! Kids are little superheroes all in their own and they deserve to get to dress like one whenever they want! I am a mom to a one and a half year old son, Barrett, and my husband and I are expecting our second, a little girl, in August!
Callie Heintzman:
I make adorable crocheted or knitted ponchos, blankets, hats and headbands for babies! I started knitting and crocheting as a form of therapy after I sustained a traumatic brain injury in a car accident at the age of sixteen; I fell in love with yarn after that. My passion for all things yarn can be seen through the sparkle in my eye when I talk about yarn and also through the things that I create.
Erica Kooymans-Stennes:
I make custom and hand-made bows for any occasion. When my oldest daughter was born with a head full of hair and I could never find quality bows that would stay in her hair, an obsession was born. I am a mom to two beautiful, sassy girls, Sadie (3 1/2) and Sofie (16 months).
Farol NeSmith:
I love fabrics and design and have been sewing most of my life. It wasn't until I made my grandson's Baptismal Gown that I discovered heirloom sewing on 100 % cotton batiste - which is a fine, soft fabric and comfortable on baby's skin. Each of my gowns is tailored for a specific child to celebrate his or her special day and each is made with loving hands and a prayerful heart. I love to embroider on anything I can fit into my hoop!
Karen Thompson:
I love fabrics and sewing, but most of all the smiles on the faces of little girls when they see their new dresses, totes or doll dresses for 18-inch dolls. I am a retired teacher and have a son, Shannon, a daughter-in-law, Laura and a one-year old granddaughter, Soleil. I will be including some dresses made of organic fabric in my line this spring.
Andrea Trombetta:
The Isabella series consists of custom and one of a kind, embellished baby apparel including onesies and tutus, also incorporating recycled and inherited materials.
My daughter, Isabella Rose, has been the sweetest source of inspiration for me to produce a functional, innovative and whimsical body of apparel for babies, calling it the "Isabella Series". In 2005, I received my MFA in Fabric Design at the University of Georgia and have been teaching, exhibiting and selling wearable and visual art out of my Athens based art studio and website (TrombettaDesigns.com).

How selling works:
1. Make sure all items are clean and in good condition.
2. Drop off your gently used items (clothing, baby gear, maternity, etc).
3. We will select the items we can use and offer you store credit or cash.
4. We will donate any items not accepted to a local charity.

Wish List
When I registered for my baby shower gifts I had no idea what I was doing. I was the first of my friends to have a baby, and I had no one to help me figure out what I really needed. If only reBlossom had been around for me!
Our hope is that we can act as your guide in figuring out what items might be helpful to you. We hope to make the process of “registering” less stressful and more useful. That’s why we’ve devised the reBlossom Wish List.

We will share with you our personal recommendations, based on real life experience and what we’ve learned from our amazing customers, for what might be most useful. Just like a registry, we’ll cross off the items that your loved ones buy so that there’s no overlap and you don’t wind up with five rubber duckies. Oh, and did we mention that we have free, recycled gift-wrapping?

Equipment
reBlossom offers a wide variety of options when it comes to needing baby equipment and gear. We saw how quickly our babies went through different stages and want you to benefit from our low prices and unique rental service. All of our equipment can be bought outright. But, if for some reason you want to try a piece of equipment before investing in it, or if you know you’ll only need something for a short time frame (out-of town guests visiting, travel, etc.) then you may also rent an item for a day, week or month.

Photography
At reBlossom, our goal is to offer you professional quality photographs of your loved ones without the hefty price tag. We specialize in pregnancy, baby, child, and family portrait photography. Instead of having to pay for a sitting fee in addition to a photo package, we have one fee that includes all of the digital images taken during the photo shoot and burned onto a CD (this could be 50-100 photos!). You then have the freedom to edit your images and print them anywhere and in any format you like.

Meet the Photographer:
Monira Silk studied photojournalism at UGA, and went on to work as a photojournalist in metro DC, Chattanooga and Atlanta. She also worked with the Atlanta-based wedding photographer Sean Randall, as a teaching assistant with Jim Virga, and as a staff photographer at the Athens Banner-Herald. She loves photographing pregnant women with their beautiful bellies, as well as little ones with their curious smiles.

A: If you are interested in getting rid of some of your baby/maternity clothing, equipment or accessories, then check our facebook page/website for items we are accepting or call us at (706) 549-8900.
Make sure all items are stain-free, washed and in good condition. Also, no products that have been recalled by the U.S. Consumer Safety Commission are accepted. To find out more info please visit: http://www.cpsc.gov.
Drop off your items & we will select what we want and offer you store credit/cash.
As an added service, we can donate any items not accepted to a local charity.
