It is with a heavy heart (and a happy one) that I am announcing the closure of ReBlossom as a business. But don't worry, we're not going anywhere. Our shop is becoming a program of Athens Parent Wellbeing, which means on Dec. 1st we will begin our newest chapter, completely as a NON-PROFIT!
Y'all, what the heck are we doing and why?
1) You'll be able to shop at ReBlossom and know that each dollar you spend will be transformed into goodness, like a fairy godmother waving a wand! As soon as we're able to pay our amazing staff & expenses, we will be helping parents in the Athens area access education, therapy, peer support, gear or anything in between.
2) If another tree branch lands on my noggin, breaking my neck and knocking me out cold, our non-profit should live on, in perpetuity!
3) Business ownership is lonely and I'm super excited about working more as a team, with my staff, board of directors and volunteers.
4) You'll now be able to donate your gently-loved children's clothing, shoes, toys & equipment items knowing you'll be making a difference in our community (and you can even get a tax receipt).
5) We're hoping we'll be able to work even more closely with other community partners, perhaps you, who may want to collaborate to support area families.
So all this to say, this will be our last official Small Business Saturday as a "business." I know firsthand how hard it is to run a business, so PLEASE consider getting out and supporting local businessses this holiday season! We need you! We'll be open Black Friday 11/24 & Small Business Saturday 11/25. In the meantime, check out all the other awesome stuff we're doing in the next few weeks, including not one, but two Santas are coming to town!
