Pelvic Floor Health and Wellness for Postpartum

Come join pelvic floor physical therapist Dr. Nidhi Patel Zinn as she discusses all things pelvic and musculoskeletal health for postpartum.

This is open to any woman 6 weeks postpartum and beyond. In this workshop we will go over how to self assess and start to heal diastasis recti, begin core exercises and discuss common issues with intimacy after giving birth.  We will also discuss how daily activities and bowel/bladder habits affect the health of the core and pelvic floor. The workshop is for anyone who has given birth (C-section or vaginal birth) and been to their 6 week postpartum check.

About Nidhi Patel

Nidhi Patel received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2017 and has been practicing in Athens ever since. She specializes in orthopedic and pelvic health physical therapy. She has spent countless hours in courses, trainings, and interdisciplinary meetings. She is a post natal fitness specialist and loves to work with women to help them achieve their goals after having a baby. "It's really important to make sure that I am treating the whole body. I look at the person holistically, making sure that I ask about their diet, movement, sexual/bowel/bladder function, and their overall goals." Nidhi's passion is to improve movement patterns and patient's function through posture retraining, manual therapy techniques, dry needling, and neuromuscular reeducation. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling.
